NEDFi Foundation Day :
Head Office
On the occasion of completion of its 16 years of existence , the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation ltd( NEDFi) conducted an awareness camp on cleanliness at Ganeshguri on 9th Aug, 2011 and provided 14 dual dustbins and 7 nos of Tri cycle carts for keeping the city garbage free. Before handing over these items to the GMC and GWMCPL  authority; the Corporation also conducted  a cleaning drive in the market area of Ganeshguri for creating awareness among the shop keepers and the street vendors. In the said awareness camp officials of GMC including Additional Commissioner and other senior officials, GWMCPL, noted Columnist Indrani Rai Medhi, film personality Chetana Das, Shop keepers of Ganeshguri market , students and large no of commoners participated. Additional Commissioner Mr. S. Thiek lauded NEDFi’s endeavour  for the initiative.
Prizes were also awarded to the students  who had earlier participated in an Essay writing competition organized by NEDFi on the topic "Clean & Green Guwahati ". Gen Next has made some excellent suggestions to keep the city clean and green . It has been decided to carry it as campaign by the Corporation and talks are already on to make it successful by involving more Corporate and other agencies like CII etc. 
Branches
At the Branch level in all the NE States , NEDFi has organized "Wall painting Project by school children " in the prominent locations of the cities like Dimapur,  Aizwal, Silchar, Agartala and Tinsukia  on the occasion of its 16th Foundation day. The topics that covered under this project was Global warming, Environment protection etc to make people aware about the dangers associated with these.
In the Head office too the project was completed successfully on the 2nd week of July 2011 in the compound of  CGM Court  Guwahati,  by the students of South Point School. The topics covered for this project was Legal Awareness for Common Public
